Shu Aka Tomei Uroko Sanshoku Rice Fish (Oryzias latipes) - 6 Pack
Shu Aka Tomei Uroko Sanshoku Rice Fish (Oryzias latipes) - 6 Pack
Common Name: Japanese Rice Fish, Medaka
Maximum Size: 1-1.5"
The Shu Aka Tomei Uroko Sanshoku is a fancy breed of Japanese Rice Fish. The fish is a tri colored medaka similar to that of koi, particularly Showa Sanshoku and Taisho Sanshoku. The name literally translates to something along the lines of Vermilion (Shu Aka) Transparent Scale (Tomei Uroko) Tri Color (Sanshoku). I kept the name as the original Japanese due to the convoluted name of the breed.
Due to the highly variable nature of the breed, the fish you receive may look different to the ones shown in the images / videos provided. Similar to koi, smaller and younger fish may not be as developed as older individuals.
You will receive 6 medaka as well as 1 or 2 additional bonus medaka per group. We can mix and match different breeds of medaka of equivalent value or less on request. Please check our list of breeds to see what we may have currently not listed. We may not always have enough for an order, but we may have 1 or 2 of a particular breed available.

Availability of rice fish will depend on the availability of a vacant pond during spawning season.
